Application photos are more than a nice smile — they are your first and most important impression. As an experienced portrait and business photographer since 2013, I accompany people on their professional path: from classic application photos to contemporary LinkedIn and Xing profile images. My goal is simple: natural, likeable and recognisable. Why choose me: I grew up in a photography studio in the Ruhr area and trained with the renowned Berliner Hoffotografen. I work with clients across the Ruhrgebiet and regularly in Berlin — either in my daylight studio or on location. My approach is personal and organised: a pre-shoot conversation clarifies your goals, industry and the image you want to convey. Often we create several versions for applications, websites and social media — from classic headshots to modern LinkedIn portraits. During the shoot I take time to calm nerves; with small directions and patience I capture natural, confident moments. Accessories and outfit changes add variety and expression. Authenticity matters: I prefer subtle retouching and avoid heavy post-processing — I remove minor skin redness or straighten a tie, but the person remains recognisable. On request I collaborate with professional make-up artists, advise on clothing and prepare moodboards or shot lists. For companies I also provide coordinated employee photos and team images — quick sessions with direct image selection on a monitor are particularly efficient.
